Focus guard · New Chrome extension
Say your goal. Off‑task pages get stopped.
Type one sentence, like “physics past papers, refraction”, and pick a length. Each page you open is checked against that sentence. On-task pages open. Off-task pages don’t.
- It judges pages, not whole sites. The YouTube lecture you need opens. The two-hour rabbit hole doesn’t.
- Off-task pages get a wall, or a gentle nudge if you set it that way.
- A short focus summary when your session ends.
- Runs on your computer with Chrome’s built-in AI. No account, and your browsing never leaves your computer.
Planned pricing Not final. Could change before launch.
- Free$0
Unlimited sessions up to 1 hour.
- Pro$3.99/mo or $29/yr
Locked mode (no early quit), schedules and recurring sessions, a weekly focus report, and your own “always allowed” tools.
Needs a computer that can run Chrome’s built-in AI. Focus guard uses Gemini Nano, which runs on your computer. It needs desktop Chrome on a computer that meets Chrome’s requirements for built-in AI. Not every computer does, and most school Chromebooks can’t run it.
