What data the extension handles
When you click Clear, the extension reads these details of each tab it saves:
- the page title
- the page address (URL)
- the page’s icon, only when Chrome already holds it inside the browser as embedded image data
- which window it was in, its position, whether it was pinned, and the name and color of its tab group
- when you last viewed the tab, as reported by Chrome
It also keeps the piles it creates (names, short notes, which tabs belong to each), when you last restored or dismissed a pile, and your settings.
The extension does not read the content of web pages, your history, cookies, passwords or form data. It never reads incognito windows.
Where the data lives
Everything is stored in Chrome’s extension storage on your computer. The extension makes no network requests: no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no remote code.
AI pile names. If your computer supports Chrome’s built-in AI (Gemini Nano), the extension sends tab titles and site names to that model, which runs on your computer. Google’s documentation for this API states that no data is sent to Google or any third party when using the model. Chrome itself may download the model the first time; that download is between Chrome and Google and contains none of your tab data.
Sharing
We don’t sell, share, or transfer your data to anyone. We never receive it.
Your control
- Delete: Settings → “Delete all data” removes everything. You can also delete single tabs, piles or clears in the Library.
- Export: Settings → “Export all (JSON)” saves a copy to your computer.
- Uninstall: removing the extension deletes everything it stored.
Children
The extension collects nothing from anyone, so it collects nothing from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this same address with a new effective date.
